I want to continue creating a positive and safe training environment for the athletes, guiding them to develop their skills and achieve their goals. Making my skaters feel comfortable being themselves and trying new things is very important to me. I want to motivate and help athletes achieve their full potential while maintaining an inspirational and approachable technique. I want to teach them basic skills that they can carry throughout their journey as skaters and humans.
Program Assistants
Program Assistants (PA) are essential to our Skate Canada Brighton program. PAs assist our Skate Canada coaches in delivering our CanSkate and Pre-CanSkate programs. They are current STAR Skaters, former skaters and hockey players that our coaches have trained. A PA's role may include assisting or leading warm-ups, group activities or cool-downs, assisting with the set-up of circuits and stations, leading circuits, demonstrating proper execution of skating skills, providing general assistance to the coaches during the session, and providing encouragement and general feedback to skaters.
